hi! welcome to supermarket music, an upcoming visual novel rhythm game about how people and their pursuit of knowledge can shape our whole future.

Who makes the show?

Supermarket Music is the project name and the artist name — same thing. Music, writing, and direction by Shaun Hinklein (who is Supermarket Music). Animation and art by Renae Foules. Episodes are made with indie artists, no AI. We are very tired.

Who makes the cartoons?

Each episode is animated by indie artists — hand-drawn, no AI. Every frame is built specifically for the game. The animation and the rhythm sequences are the same thing. You're not watching a show and then playing a game. The show is the game.

Is there a video game?

Yes. Episode 1 — 7 levels, full voice acting, original soundtrack. Free on Steam. Think there might be more going on than a weird one-shot fever dream? You might be right. Plus eggs. Lots of eggs.

Can I use the music for my own projects?

Sure, remix it, share it, have fun with it. Just don’t try to sell it without talking to me first. I’ve got eyes everywhere.
